Steam engine usage as a turboexpander
Turboexpander based on the propeller machine (gas propeller machine - GVM) designed to use natural gas excess energy at gas distribution plants (for instance, allows to produce 2200 kW at gas flow 150 000 nm3/h). It helps to obtain electric energy as well as cold for production needs
Gas is cooled while being expanded in turboexpander, so before its delivery into turboexpander it is necessary to heat it. Heating may be performed by gas (0,1% of delivered gas is consumed) or delivery water.
Economical background of VM usage
- Actual enterprises cost saving for electrical energy and fuel buying
- Providing stable work practically independently from energy shortage and market situation
- Fuel saving
As a result of these the renown of technical services specialists in the enterprise is increased.
