Well-head heater structure:
The heater consists of two main parts:
- heating block;
- fuel reduction cabinet.
- Fuel reduction unit, knockout drum and funnel are arranged at the heating block. On site a heating block, fuel reduction unit and knockout drum are connected to the oil and gas pipelines.
- Heating block is a tubular radiant-convective furnace; fuel is combusted in the radiant-convective chamber and heat is transferred to the product coil. Product coil and gas sparger are arranged in the heat-insulated furnace.
- Product coil is a spatial spiral of 21 steel seamless Ø57 mm pipes. Gas sparger is a secondary radiator, it pro-vides the even and intensive washing of the coil pipes with fume gases, and thereby convective component of the heat transfer. Inside the sparger, there is a coil for fuel gas heating to diminish formation of hydrates in fuel line.
- At the side wall of heating chamber there are two single elements of injection burner that at mounting are con-nected to the common gas collector. At underpressure of 5–30 Pa (0,5–3 mm w.col.) in firebox, and gas pres-sure of 0,01–0,07 MPa (0,1–0,7 kgf/cm2) at burner the fuel is fully combusted in short transparent flame. De-pending on the heat power required, one or both burner elements could be used. A hand-hole for manual igniter and flame detector and explosion valve connections are arranged at side walls. Two funnels are arranged in symmetric order at both sides of the chamber and interconnected with the funnel. To provide additional opera-tional safety an explosive valve is mounted in the bottom section of the central pipe.
- Fuel reduction unit consists of reduction devices and control fuel supply to burner.
- The heater has automatic control system.
Automation control system is used for remote ignition of burners, process parameters monitoring, operation and emergency alarms, automatic protection system for heater.
The system consists of the following items:
- safety and alarms block;
- flame monitor;
- serial actuators and instrumentation.
- inlet and outlet oil pressure;
- fuel gas pressure at the inlet of fuel treating unit;
- fuel gas pressure at burner;
- inlet and outlet oil temperature;
- oil pressure at heater inlet;
- fuel gas pressure at burner;
- temperature of oil heating;
- flame failure at main burner;
- power shutdown;
- flame detector failure.
