Purpose
Line heater PBT-1,6M / MJ / MK is designed for heating of oil emulsions, oil, gas, oil-field water during transporta-tion at oil treating units.
Heater with intermediate heat carrier with packed type coil and furnace plant provides highly economical ‘soft’ heating of oils. Line heater PBT-1,6M / MJ / MK is comparatively less in mass and dimensions that provides reduced operation and montage costs.
Having the same heat capacity the PBT heater possess the advantages in comparison to the PP-1,6 heater and other heaters being more cost effective and being of less dimensions and mass, providing less expenses for installation and use.

Structural description
Line heater PBT-1,6M / MJ / MK consists of the following:
- heating module;
- fuel conditioning module;
- ventilation module;
- automation system.
Product heating process goes as follows:
Product from oilfield network comes to the heart coil, where it is heated by the way of intermediate heat carrier and then flows out of leaves the heater.
Gas for burners is preheated in the heating module and is forwarded to the fuel conditioning module.
After purification and reduction the fuel gas is fed to ignition and main burners, and is combusted in firebox of heater, providing heat to the intermediate heat carrier ( fresh water).
- Heating module is used for heat transfer from fuel combustion products to the product heated.
- Heating module is a vessel filled with heat agent (sweet water) and installed on support frame.
- Firebox and product coils are arranged inside the vessel. Heating module is of monoblock design and is trans-portable with any kind of transport.
- Fuel conditioning module is used for arrangement of instrumentation for fuel cleaning, reduction and feed con-trol to burners. Instrumentation is mounted inside a heat-insulated cabinet.
- Ventilation module is heat-insulated shelter; it includes radial blower type ÂÐ1226N3,15 with electric 4 kW mo-tor 4À100S2.
- Heater is equipped with automation system.
Automation system for PBT-1,6M / MJ / MK
Automation system (type of design: wall or cabinet, is specified, when ordered) provides:
- Local visual control of main process parameters.
- Automatic control of: fuel gas pressure, product heating temperature, gas and air flow proportions for ‘high’ and ‘low’ combustion modes.
- Automatic ignition of pilot and main burners with natural draught ventilation of firebox.
- Automatic setup and blocking of heater start-up program with audio alarm and warning lights in the following situa-tions:
- fuel gas pressure drop (upstream of control valve) below the minimum limit;
- fuel gas pressure increase (upstream of control valve) above the maximum limit;
- heated product pressure increase at heater inlet above 6,3 MPa;
- level drop of intermediate heat carrier;
- temperature increase of intermediate heat carrier in heater above 95°Ñ;
- air pressure drop in air line;
- flame failure at main burner during normal operation of heater;
- pilot flameout at ignition;
- flame control line failure;
- power shut-down.
- Operation warning signaling for the following:
- supply voltage indication;
- ignition program procedure;
- flame indication for pilot and main burners.
