Purpose
The furnace is designed for heating of oils and oil emulsions at oil-fields treatment and transportation. Furnaces of this type are widely used in Russia and CIS. In comparison to the PTB 5-10A, this furnace is of higher capacity that allows using it with high economic efficiency at large oil fields. Product is heated directly. In comparison to the PTB 5-10A and to PTB-10-64, this furnace has improved structural design.

Comparison of PTB-10E furnace and PTB-10A:


General configuration is kept, and the basic changes and innovations are the following:

  • The electric control system with microprocessor automation was implemented; this provides an opportunity to integrate it with industrial control. There is no need to install a compressor unit for pressure maintenance in pneumatic line since all actuating mechanisms of control valves were replaced with electric actuator.
  • the automation system also provides:
    • dangerous gas concentration control in heat exchange chamber;
    • Air-gas proportion control that provides more clean combustion of fuel gas.
  • With the purpose to increase furnace efficiency (85 %) in the heat exchange chamber the additional single-row coils along side walls are arranged.
  • To heat fuel gas in a winter period up to +65°Ñ the coils are arrange inside the heat exchanging chamber.
  • Fans are connected to electric motors with socket joint. Instead of gas distribution in the furnace unit basement gas regulation cabinet unit is used.
  • As a result of modernization the PTB-10E furnace is more reliable; it meets requirements of standards and customers demands.
