PurposeThe PTB-5-40E furnace is designed for heating of oils and oil emulsions at oil-fields treatment and transportation. In com-parison to the PTB-10À, this furnace is of lower capacity that allows economically effective operation at small oil-fields. Product is heated directly. The furnace has improved design and is a modification of the PTB 5-40A model.

The PTB-5-40E furnace has the following features in comparison to the PTB-5-40A furnace:
- It engages electric control system implementing microprocessor automation that allows to use it within industrial control of the whole plant. It does not need compressor unit to be used to maintain pressure in pneumatic line, since all executive valve devices are electric-driven.
- Automation system also provides:
– gas concentration control in heat-exchange chamber;
– air-gas ratio control, to provide complete combustion of fuel gas. - There are coils in heat exchange chamber to heat fuel gas to +65°Ñ in winter season.
- Instead of distribution point in the furnace basement module there is gas regulating point of cabinet type with gas heating.
