Structural description

Horizontal precipitator OG-200S is a vessel with elliptical heads. The vessel is divided into two sections with a baffle (pos.12); the left section is separation part, and the right section is for precipitation. Both sections intercommunicated via two dispensers (pos.25). Dispensers are steel pipes with orifices at their top part. Emulsion box-type dispensers (pos.26) are places above them.

In the top of right (separation) section there is a gas separator (pos.7) connected to nipple (pos.4) at the left-side head.

Nipple (pos.5) is connected to emulsion dispenser (pos. 6). Drain boards (pos.10) attached to the bottom frame of dispenser.

In the bottom of left-side section there are two steam collectors containing perforated nipples (pos.22), attached to the nipples (pos. 23).

In the top of left-side section, there are 4 oil collectors (pos.15) connected to oil outlet.

The baffle (pos.21) in precipitation section separates a small section for oilfield water discharge. It has overflow sys-tem (pos.20) that works as hydraulic gate providing oilfield water flow from the bottom of precipitation section to the water drain section.

Operation principle of horizontal precipitator OG-200S

Preheated (or of normal temperature) water-gas-oil emulsion is fed to the precipitator through the connection (pos.6) as well as with/or without demulsifying agent depending on physicochemical properties of oil; then it comes to dis-penser (pos.6) in the top of separation section of precipitator.

Watery oil comes through slots from dispenser to drain boards (pos.10) and then to the bottom section of the unit. At that, free or dissolved gas is partially extracted. Extracted gas comes through separator (pos.7) to be separated from entrained oil drops; then it is forwarded to collector system via connection (pos.4).

Degassed oil comes from separation section into two collectors (pos.25), arrange along the precipitation section. Oil from collectors flows to the box-shaped dispensers (pos.26) under the level of oilfield water in the section. Oil emul-sion is washed through the oilfield water and water drops fall down to the bottom section of the unit. Dehydrated oil flows to the collectors (pos.15) at the top of precipitation section, and then is drained out from the unit.

Water separated from oil comes to the right side of precipitator via overflow system (pos.20) and then it is forwarded to the oilfield wastewater treatment system through the connection (pos.19).

Horizontal precipitator OG-200S is equipped with inter-phase level regulators, safety valves, process instrumentation and sediment removing unit.

According to conditions of railway or water transportation, a horizontal precipitator is delivered knocked-down.
