Siberian research institute of oil industry (“SibNIINP”, Tyumen) was founded in 1975, on the basis of Giprotyumenneftegas and until 1992 was technological structure of Giprotyumenneftegas providing scientific maintenance of all works in spheres of geological and Tyumen region oil field development, as from forward planning, drafting for supplementary exploration of oil fields, projects of producing test, estimation of reserves, manufacturing schemes and projects of development to geological-and-technical activities related to boreholes and monitoring and analysis of development results.
In 1994 instituted was raised to joint stock company (JSC “SibNIINP”)
Since 2005 institute became a department of “Generation” IG.
Nowadays, the main line of SibNIINP activities is complex salvation of problems related to oil fields development including researching and project works in spheres of geology, development, recoverable oil, economics, boring, ecology, extraction, gathering, transport, oil processing.
Main lines of activity:
- Projection of oil, gas and gas-condensate fields development;
- Projection of oil and gas fields development;
- Modeling of high-technology of oil extraction;
- Geology, calculation of oil and gas stock;
- Petrophysical and physical-chemical research;
- Projection of boreholes construction;
- Technique and technology of oil and gas extraction;
- Economical research.
There are more than 400 people in the institute forming stable, friendly and highly qualified staff of scientific and engineering personnel. Managers and main contractors have experience in oil industry for up to 30 years, most of them were awarded with orders, medals, and signs of “Best in oil industry and Honored worker of Mintopenergo RF”.
SibNIINP became a winner of VIII All-Russian competition of 1000 best enterprises and organization of Russia -2007 in “Best enterprise of fuel and energy complex” nomination.
Institute works under contracts with the biggest integrated oil companies: “Lukoil”, “Rosneft”, “TNK-BP”, “Slacneft”. There are Russian and foreign companies among the customers: “Ukos”, “Gazprom Neft”, “Ritech”, “Hantimansiyskneftgasgeologiya”, “TURSUNT”, “Uralneft”, “Geoilbent”, “Konoko”, VR, “Purneftegasgeologiya”, “Varyeganeft”, “Novosibirskneftegas” and other. SibNIINP cooperates with oil companies working at the territory of Western Siberia, with leading scientific organizations and academic institutes.
