JSC "Dzerzhinskhimmash" (Dzerzhinsk, Nizhniy Novgorod region) – is one of the leading enterprises of the branch, specializes on manufacture of the equipment for chemical, petrochemical, microbiological, medical, food, cereal-processing industry, gas-processing, etc. industries.
The enterprise is based in 1945. On the basis of workshops of metal ware, making gas tanks, capacities, anti-tank "hedgehogs", farms for railway bridges, and the independent Igumnovsky plant of metal ware was formed. During this period the release of gas tanks and of chemical equipment was extended. There was a mechanization of welding works; widely intrudes automatic submerged arc welding and control of seams by X-rays. New cases were under construction, the industrial base extends, and technological process was improved. In 1947 the first recognition of labor merits of working group comes – the Red Challenge Banner of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and a branch People’s commissariat was handed over to factory.
In 1956 the enterprise was renamed into Igumnovsky machinery and repair plant. The assortment of the turn out production changed. The plant started to make electro roadways, traveling bridge crane, tower cranes and spare parts to them, heavy-weight trailers-load-carrying capacity up to 40 tons, concrete pavers. At this time technological and design departments, supply department were created, the fleet was organized.
In 1960 the plant was renamed again and from now on is called as Dzerzhinsky plant of chemical mechanical engineering. Such renaming was connected with the further specialization of the enterprise on manufacture of the chemical equipment providing the further development of the chemical industry. During this period the factory developed and turned out towers, heat exchangers, the vacuum filters and mixing devices. Since 1960 manufacturing of the chemical equipment for export began. The factory started to be under construction, expand floor spaces, new cases were entered.
In order to improve professional skills additional technical training of workers and employees was carried out. Technological processes were improved, the social infrastructure of factory (a cafeteria, medical unit, pioneer camp, a camp site, children's industrial complexes) extended.
January, 21st 1971 - for high rates of work, for early execution of tasks of the 8th five-year plan on release of the chemical equipment Dzerzhinsky plant "Himmash" was awarded the Red Banner of Labour.
Since January, 1st, 1978 a first issue of the plant newspaper "Himmashevets" published which is being successfully published and today.
In December 1992 - the JSC "Dzerzhinskhimmash" was founded. JSC "Dzerzhinskhimmash" which and today remains one of the largest enterprises specializing on release of the equipment for the chemical, oil refining, oil-extracting industry. This columned equipment, rotary-film evaporators, devices with mixers, heat-exchange devices, containers, container-tanks, coppers, spherical cranes, filters, the stamped bottoms and many other things.
In 1994 JSC "Dzerzhinskhimmash" was certificated for the right to manufacture of the pressure vessels, according to requirements of the international standards of ASME.
JSC "Dzerzhinskhimmash" has licenses for designing, manufacture of the equipment chemical and others fire and explosion dangerous objects; licenses for manufacturing, repairing of elevating constructions; licenses for performance of civil and erection works, building design works, etc.
Production shops of the association are equipped with necessary, and also including unique procuring, boiler-welding and machining facilities, which allows carrying out:
- knife cutting sheet metal rolling thickness to 40mm
- thermal (acetylene-oxygen and plasma) cutting sheet metal rolling by thickness to 200mm
- bending of curbs with thickness of a wall to 90mm
- automatic arc welding, slag welding, semi-automatic welding in the atmosphere of the shielding gas and manual arc welding
- stamping of the elliptic bottoms in diameter from 159 to 3200mm with wall thickness to 90mm
- annealing in thermal furnaces of devices diameter to 5000mm and length to 36000mm
- machining of case details and knots in diameter to 8000mm
- quality inspection of welded connections by not destroying methods (non-destructive examination defect detection, X-ray control, colour and luminescence flow detection).
At manufacturing of the equipment are applied carbonaceous, low-alloyed, high-alloyed, heat resisting, two-layer steels, and also the titan, aluminum and various alloys.
